Resources for young people

 'A Booklet About Me - helping children explore their experience of domestic abuse'

This booklet has been written and designed to help and support children aged 7-11 who have experienced domestic abuse. The booklet aims to help and support children in recognising, understanding and coping with their personal experience of domestic abuse.

The booklet compliments the work done within The GREAT Project and is an ideal continuation of support for any child identified as experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse following on from the project.

Included within the booklet are the following topic areas;

  • Feelings
  • Bullying
  • Defining domestic abuse and domestic abuse facts
  • Help & support
  • Safety planning
  • Understanding the effects of domestic abuse
  • Understanding and dealing with anger




Equation have also developed awareness posters and information cards for adults and resources for work with older young people available either free of charge, or for a small cost depending on geographical area.
